How to add and manages buses within the SmartStubs Web Application

Buses must be added using the SmartStubs Web Application. Buses are utilized when scanning tickets into occurrences (trips). If no buses are the added, no bus can be selected when scanning using the SmartStubs Mobile Application.

Preconditional Permission

To manages buses, a user must have the permission shown below.

Path for assigning permission: Management/System/User Management/Roles & Users/User Permissions/Management/Manage Inventory/Manage Buses

Adding Buses

Navigate to Management > Inventory > Buses > + Add Bus

Pop-up window contains the following text-boxes:

  • Number (must be unique; required input field; letters also allowed)

  • Description (numbers and letters allowed)

  • Capacity (whole numbers allowed only)

Mapping Buses

After creating a bus, it must be mapped to the product(s) in which it belongs. Buses can be assigned to one or multiple products. If a bus is not assigned to any product, it will not show in the SmartStubs Mobile Application.

Disabling Buses

Buses can be disabled if they are no longer in service. Un-map the bus from all applicable products and then click the Active toggle. Once a bus is unmapped and disabled, it will no longer show in the SmartStubs Mobile Application.
